July 2026 Snapshots
BAGLESS DAY
On Bagless Day, primary class students participated in exciting activities. Students prepared beautiful greeting cards to express their love and gratitude for their grandparents. They also brought and displayed a variety of Goan traditional sweets, celebrating the state’s rich culinary heritage. With no school bags to carry, the day was filled with joyful learning and camaraderie.
SNAKE AWARENESS WORKSHOP
WWF–India (World Wide Fund for Nature) representative Joel Fernandes conducted an engaging workshop for the students of Classes III and IV. The session aimed to create awareness about snakes by addressing common myths and facts, highlighting their ecological importance and teaching students how to identify some of the common snakes found in the region. Students also learned essential safety measures and the appropriate steps to take if they encounter a snake, fostering respect for wildlife and encouraging responsible behaviour.
WEALTH OUT OF WASTE
Students, with the support and creativity of their parents, transformed discarded coconut shells and other coconut materials into beautiful and useful craft items. The exhibition encouraged creativity, environmental awareness, and the importance of reusing natural resources.
KOPEL MAKING
Students and parents enthusiastically participated in creating beautiful kopels using fresh flowers, leaves, and other natural materials. The activity fostered creativity and encouraged an appreciation for nature and Goan traditions. The wholehearted support and involvement of parents made this a truly remarkable and joyful day for all.
MEMORY MASTERS CHALLENGE
To enhance observation, concentration, and vocabulary, students were given, as part of the challenge, one minute to observe a picture containing different objects and then recall and write as many words as they could from memory. The activity helped students strengthen their memory, improve focus, and build confidence in a fun and engaging way.
PICTURE READING COMPETITION
Held both in English and Konkani, students had to describe images displayed on the screen in their own words. The activity provided a wonderful platform for children to develop their observation skills, vocabulary, communication skills, imagination, and confidence in public speaking.
