Educated to Serve: A quick guide on the inspiring theme for the year 2026-27

June 2026

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged this year to find and nurture their unique, purposeful light.

“Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.” For the Academic Year 2026-27, DBHS Panjim looks to St. Catherine of Siena and her famous quote for inspiration. In a world that burns with self-seeking, our Gen Alpha students are called to a different flame. This is their moment to set the world on fire with love and purpose.

‘Educated To Serve–Becoming the gift you were created to be’ invites all to look deep within and find the light that is unique to them. A spark to nurture and share with others. Students are invited to shine bright this academic year with the help of these four steps:

1. Identify your light

Be a generation rising not for self but for service. Find your purpose by making a list of your strengths, talents and gifts. Ask family and friends to help you identify this light.

2. Fuel your light

Engage in activities that strengthen your gifts—read good books, improve your skills and serve wholeheartedly. These meaningful activities and disciplines will amplify your abilities and talents.

3. Be a light

Let this be a year of small, steady acts that echo with profound impact. Share your gifts by actively participating in school, at home and in your local community. Even the smallest acts of service and effort will make a world of difference.

4. Help others shine

Encourage and support your classmates in discovering and sharing their light. Cheer them on and stand by them as they become brighter and better versions of themselves.

Here’s looking forward to another year of excellence in academics, of passionate participation in extra-curriculars, and a renewed commitment to growing in virtue—all guided by the Divine light!
